On the fringes of cycling and triathlon—sports already geared toward endurance—there are athletes who push their bodies and their gear to the limit. Ultra-distances, yes, but at ultra-high speeds. Not necessarily bikepacking, but still carrying everything they need—without fear of sleeping on a bench along the road. We call these “Big, Crazy Rides,” and since the Caledonia’s introduction in 2020, athletes from around the world have explored just how big and how crazy these kinds of rides can be.
These are the athletes who choose the Caledonia-5. Designed to tackle long-distance, high-speed races, with a fit and handling focused on comfort, yet without compromising that unique feel you get only when riding a Cervelo road bike.
For the new Caledonia-5, we’ve focused on significant improvements designed for riders who routinely push the Caledonia to its limits. The frame-integrated storage compartment—first introduced on the P Series—certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. There’s enough space for a small multi-tool, an inner tube, and a CO2 cartridge. Out of sight, out of mind—until your tire lets you down.
Then we focused on comfort: the chainstays are lowered, much like those on the Áspero, which makes the rear triangle more acute and therefore more vertically flexible. At the same time, the down tube offers a bit more stiffness to maintain that special responsiveness for which the Caledonia is known. You still have the option to fit large tires (up to 36 mm), and it comes standard with fender mounts.
Like all Cervélo bikes, the Caledonia-5 is UCI-approved and comes with a lifetime warranty. We build road bikes and do everything we can to ensure they last a long time.

AERODYNAMICS
All Cervélo bikes are aerodynamic. And when you’re on your third day of sandwiches and candy, sprinting toward the first checkpoint, you’ll appreciate that free speed. Fully internal cable routing and aerodynamic tube shapes work together to help you fight the wind.

REFINED AND IMPROVED
The Caledonia-5 is the ideal bike for all-day rides, high-speed group rides, and rough pavement. We’ve kept all the good stuff and improved on the small details, such as the headset cap, which is designed to allow for quick position and component changes without having to touch the cables.
